Old dudes make more estrogen. That could be the mansplanation for what happened yesterday.

Woke up and got right before deciding to make a sorbet run. Eureka! the hamper as a carryall. The list is in my head. The walk to the store stretched the legs and walking through the store I eyeballed to make sure it would all fit in the hamper. Then I lifted the bugger and it was like 50 pounds. I walked the parking lot and entered the crosswalk a little wobbly. Suddenly the mile+ walk home went from "seems daunting" to "Uh-fucking-oh!" I tried 50 steps then rest. 50 steps then rest. It was working and here's the thing - I never considered quitting. When I got to the last quarter mile from home, I sat under the cottonwood on stones with the hamper between my legs. An amigo making a left hand turn in a van stopped and asked if I needed help. How pathetic I must have looked. Then he drove me home. He possibly thwarted the impending infarction. He refused my gratuity. He answered my most recent prayer. This is what happens when you are spared, not scared and contributing to the solution. I used what little I had left to load the 'fridge and then have a lie down.

The funny version of this was better but it got erased so I went with the straight up story instead. Here are the lessons learned:
1) Next time get a better carryall
2) Maybe one I can ride?
3) If the sorbet thing gets old maybe there won't be a need for a mid-term replenishment run
17) Cheaters can stop being a cheater and that's the beginning of winning.
